I am often asked, “What should I feed my puppy? What do you recommend?”
At Sand Lake Kennels, my goal is to offer my customers beautiful, healthy, happy puppies that my puppy families can enjoy for years to come. A great nutritional foundation is one of the keys in achieving this. With all the dog food recalls in the past few years, I have done a lot of research into finding the best dog food available to help me accomplish this goal.
Many of the ingredients in our pet foods today cause a shorter life span by stressing liver and kidney functions and have ingredients are major allergens to our pets. These ingredients include wheat, corn, and soy. By-products such as chicken heads, duck bills, fish heads, chicken and turkey feet, bones and discarded, cast-off slaughterhouse meat can also be included in pet foods! BHA, BHT, which harms our dog’s liver and kidneys are known carcinogens, and Ethoxyquin, which is used to stabilize rubber, are also sometimes used. All these chemicals are added to provide a longer shelf life of months to a few years.
In choosing a quality dog food, I start by looking at the first few ingredients, with meat being the first one. Next in importance is the guaranteed analysis. After reviewing the quality, high standards and amazing testimonials of customers and field representatives, I have chosen Life’s Abundance Nutritional System and Agility Formula for my dogs. I was impressed by the science involved in producing this wonderful product.
The Life's Abundance line of products was formulated by Dr. Jane Bicks, DVM. She has been a holistic vet for over 20 years. She has served as President of the American Veterinarian Association of New York City, earned three Presidential Citations, and was appointed by Mayor Rudolph Guliani to help establish one of the largest animal shelters in the world. Dr. Bicks is the author of three books on responsible care and treatment of pets, and has appeared on 48 Hours, Good Morning America, CNN, the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and more. She has also created a non-profit foundation where a percent of her product line is contributed toward rescue and care for pets.
While many factors help the longevity of life – environment, health care and other factors, feeding good quality nutrition is one of the most important. Feeding Life’s Abundance Nutritional System and Agility Formula provides my puppies a healthy start and is a major factor in ensuring a long and healthy life. I believe SO strongly in Life’s Abundance Dog Food & Supplements, that I offer a Lifetime Free Replacement Puppy on all of my Sand Lake Kennels puppies that are kept on Life’s Abundance Nutritional System and Agility Formula throughout their lifetime when they don’t reach a life expectancy of 10 years or more.
While this dog food “seems” more expensive up front, the cost is about $1.12 a day for a 58 pound adult dog. Americans spend more than that on their gourmet coffee every morning!!! With Life's Abundance, you feed your dogs less food, but they receive more nutrition. They are able to digest and utilize the dog food more, and you are ensuring a long and healthy life for your pet when you feed them quality nutrition! Isn't your precious puppy worth it?
