Hi. I am Half Pint, the little one in the front. (My friend Red is behind me.) I came to Sand Lake Kennels when I was 3. I am now 6. I am very shy usually and spend almost all my time hanging out in Nancy's walk-in closet. Nancy knows that I like it there so she put my bed in there. I like to hoard all the chew toys and bones and sneak them in the closet when I think no one is looking. Nancy comes every so often to gather them up so the other dogs get to chew and play with them. That is OK. I can always sneak them away again. I used to always hide in the closet but just lately have decided to come out and meet people when we have visitors. If you come to visit, please ask to say HI to me.
My new name is Millie (I am the one with the most white.) I and my brother Reggie met our new families today. It was a busy day, starting with baths. I really don't mind them and I was so dirty from playing outside. I think I will miss snuggling with my brothers and sisters and my Mom, but I am looking forward to my first night camping, thanks to Susan and her friends. I am so glad they visited our wonderful state of South Dakota. My brother Reggie is also going to have a busy day. He is traveling for 10 hours to a town that is very close to Milwaukee. I wonder how he is going to like it? I know that our families have been carefully chosen so we are sure to have great homes. Isn't life exciting? Boy have we been having fun playing outside. We are learning our "wrestling" skills so we can fight off the wolves when we are out in the big bad world. We also are running on our chunky little legs and we found a really fun place to play where the grass is taller than our heads. It makes playing "spy games" really fun. We can ambush our brothers and sisters as they walk by. This big new world is really interesting. Of course, our mom Lizzie watches out for us and our "human mom" is always nearby. |
Nancy Jark-KrummI decided to add a section to give you a brief glimpse of some of the fun everyday activities of the puppies. I hope you enjoy. Archives
